每年, the Center hosts nearly 70 events, mobilizes more than 2,500 volunteers, and coordinates community projects of all sizes. Monthly service projects, learning series, and service-learning projects are among the work done annually.

  1. Lunch with a Purpose

    The 边条中心 offers a series called "Lunch with a Purpose," which is a short presentation from a local agency followed by time to network and learn from one another. Participants can bring their own lunch or purchase one in the cafeteria.

  2. Civic Coffee and Donuts

    Join the 边条中心 and student organizations for coffee and thoughtful discussion about current events. Each session will be co-hosted with a student organization. Coffee and pastries provided.

  3. Monthly Service Projects

    The 边条中心 coordinates at least one large service project each month. In addition to those highlighted, the Center also organizes a community Thanksgiving meal, trick-or-treat for canned goods, and service in honor of Women's 历史 month, 等.   4. Pay It Forward

    The Pay it Forward program allows students to learn about community programming, 慈善事业, best practices in community services, and grant making through awarding real dollar grants to local agencies. The program is funded by the Annual Trash to Treasure Sale and an endowment provided by David ’63 and Elaine (Venon ’63) Dabelko.

  5. Regula Fellows

    Launched in 2021 the Regula Fellows program recognizes students who are actively participated in engaged learning and consistently participating in direct service, political engagement, 慈善事业, 宣传, and hands on learning opportunities at Mount Union.

  6. Regula Scholars

    The Center selects a class of Regula Scholars annually to serve as ambassadors for the Center while learning more about civic engagement. Learn more on the Regula Scholars 页面.

  7. UMU选票

    The 边条中心 works alongside national partners to create voter education across campus and throughout the Ohio Athletic Conference. This work includes our 城市的角落, voter education tables, letter writing events, and resources for political engagement. Learn more on the UMU选票 页面.

  8. Additional Opportunities

    The Center works with community agencies and students to identify areas of additional programming. Through offering guest speakers, film screenings, service-learning resources, and the Regula Fellows program the Center continuously.
